Renesas Unveils Ultra-Compact Sensor Module for Smart Air Quality Monitoring in Homes and Public Spaces

Renesas Electronics has launched the RRH62000, a cutting-edge, all-in-one sensor module designed for indoor air quality monitoring. Compact at just 46.6 x 34.8 x 12 mm, this module integrates multiple sensors to detect particle sizes, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and gases that affect health.

Equipped with Renesas’ RA Family MCU, the RRH62000 features seven sensors, including a laser-based PM sensor, a gas sensor, and a humidity/temperature sensor. It delivers real-time data on PM1, PM2.5, PM10, TVOC, CO2, temperature, and humidity, all pre-calibrated for immediate use.

This module supports various air quality standards and is ideal for applications such as air purifiers, smoke detectors, HVAC systems, and smart home devices. The RRH62000 also includes AI algorithms for enhanced functionality, like demand-controlled ventilation and predictive maintenance for HVAC systems.

With its ultra-compact design and comprehensive sensing capabilities, the RRH62000 offers a versatile solution for improving indoor air quality in homes, schools, and public buildings.
