KYOCERA AVX Unveils 20 New KAM Series Automotive MLCCs for Enhanced Performance

KYOCERA AVX has introduced 20 new KAM Series capacitors designed for high-capacitance performance in compact, lightweight packages. Engineered for electric vehicles (EV), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and automated driving systems (ADS), these MLCCs meet stringent automotive industry standards, including AEC-Q200 compliance.

Manufactured using advanced miniaturization technologies and high-reliability materials, the new KAM Series components are available in various case sizes (0201 to 0805), with capacitance values from 0.1–22µF, and voltage ratings from 4V to 16V. They are ideal for applications requiring high capacitance in small spaces, such as engine control units, powertrains, and communication nodes.

Kensuke Ikeda, Senior Manager of MLCC Development at KYOCERA, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, stating, “Our evolving line of KAM Series capacitors meets the growing market demand for miniature, low-voltage MLCCs in EV, ADAS, and autonomous driving systems.”
